This project came full of challenges. With Dwell Design Studio as the Design Architect partnering with Galloway, a firm out of Denver, the project took on unexpected turns. The site is a long rectangular shape with about a 30ft grade difference from one end to the other. Being in an urban setting and in such close proximity to Georgia Tech, it presented the ideal opportunity for Campus Realty. The building overall consists of two Type IIIA buildings over podium with two levels of Type IA parking deck. The site is so long required us to add a street down the middle of it, separating the project in two and allowing us to better address the grade change.
