This is a jewel on the Beltline fronting the revered Atlanta’s Piedmont Park. The project creates a tight compact mixed-use complex that responds to its context and topography. The development engages actively with the Beltline fronting with retail and recreational uses and a well-concealed grocery store. Parking is hidden behind the retail uses. The challenge of transitioning from park to neighborhood is done creatively through step-downs, terraces, and townhomes toward the neighborhood. The architecture and material choices relate to the midtown and surrounding area. The design focuses on getting very good views of the park and Beltline for residents.
