This new home, located on a large, heavily wooded lot in North Atlanta, serves as the family home for the client. The site constraints allowed for a dramatic placement of the home towards the rear of the lot, with the home being accessible via a stone and wood bridge that spans a dry creek bed. This location has the added benefit of providing a great deal of privacy to the home. The design is an interpretation of the Arts and Crafts style, with stained cedar shingles, large roof overhangs, and simple detailing. The natural materials, complimentary colors, and timeless design harmonize to create a peaceful oasis for this family home.
