Nature, nurture and a heavy dose of divine intervention have all made my current home at dwell possible. I was born in Madrid, Spain, and spent the first four years in an orphanage run by nuns. As luck would have it, an American service family took a chance and brought me to the states. I was raised in South Florida (Miami) but continued to travel back and forth across the pond for many years to satisfy my parents passion for travel. This early life style exposed me to the built environment and provided me a front row seat to the architectural wonders of Europe. After traveling throughout childhood, I settled down and received my formal education at the University of Florida with both under graduate and graduate degrees in Architecture.
Nowadays, I don’t travel near as often, but life's great joys have taken me in a different direction. My wife, Karen, and I have two wonderful daughters that both live in Atlanta. My daughters followed me in my love of sports - I'm an avid tennis player - but that’s where it stops. Both completed college and are well on their way in their field of study, nothing to do with architecture. The eldest is an account manager with an integrated PR and Marketing agency located in Alpharetta, and her sister followed in mom's footsteps and is a nurse working in a cardiac step down unit at Piedmont Hospital. I’ve been blessed in life and am happy to be a part of the dwell team.
