Venky Babu brings over 20 years of international experience in architecture, urban design and planning. He has worked with firms in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Bangalore and Atlanta in senior level positions heading design and planning practice.
Venky’s experience and focus is on creating enduring environments that are unique to its context, aspirations of the client and the user. He is always seeking to understand the changing social, cultural, economic, technological and environmental needs and trends and explore creative solutions to address them. He is very tuned to the value the projects need to create in order for it to be successful. His experience includes working on a wide variety of project types, housing and mixed use, commercial, institutional and civic, transit oriented developments and urban infill development. He is passionate about creating vibrant spaces that adapt to the dynamic needs of changing life styles of society.
Venky holds master’s degree in urban design/planning and bachelor’s degree in architecture. His works have received recognition and awards. He has published several articles and presented papers at conferences and also served as juror at Auburn University, Kent State University and Kennesaw State University. He has also served on the ULI’s Technical Assistance Program (TAP) committee.
Venky is a LEED Accredited professional and member of American Planning Association and Indian Institute of Architects. He is a certified member of Council of Architecture and American Institute of Certified Planners.
Venky is an avid traveler and a design enthusiast and loves field of creative arts. He has touched all the six continents and traveled over 45 countries.
