My talent in Arts led me to become an Architectural Designer as my long time professional career. All started as far as I remembered, growing up with pencil in my hand sketching and drawing things, that caught my attention every single day of my childhood. My home town, where I live is famous for "Shoe Factory", reasons why, I learned in my young age to work and build shoes with my bare hand, that made me a self-supporting young boy in my High School years.
I finished my Architecture degree, working full time as an architecture draftsman and student by night. Only way to put myself in school. After school years over, I joined a newly started company with six staff member as an intern designer. Our very first project is a 38 story condominium that gave me more confidence in this field. Being young and eager to learn more in this profession, I took an opportunity to work in Singapore, where my career gained greater experiences in design ideas and creativity.
I am very fortunate be involve and collaborate in various type of mixed-used development, high-rise residential/office towers, commercial and retail spaces for neighboring Asian country, Middle east and USA projects. During my years in Singapore, I married my long time school mate, friend and co-worker. We are truly blessed with a daughter and a pencil on her hand sketching/drawings her great ideas and interest (sound familiar to me). Year 2001, me and family moved and settled in Atlanta. I like snow in postcard not in reality, I grew up in a tropical country, snow is a culture shock for me. But, eventually, for so many years living here, I do enjoyed snow once in awhile. I joined Dwell, because my goal is to grew with the company at the same time and contribute my experience, expertise and talent.
